On Monday, Feb. 3, Special Agents assigned to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) signed a warrant for Murder in connection to the death of Donald Neece, 33, of Mobile.
Through the course of the investigation, Special Agents identified the suspect as Zachri Frazer, 22, of Kingston, Jamaica. However, investigators found evidence that Frazer had recently been living in Mobile, Ala.
Neece was identified as the victim of a homicide and was located at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan 29, by Troopers assigned to ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division in the lower Delta near Spanish Fort, in Baldwin County. Troopers notified Special Agents assigned to ALEA SBI which immediately launched a death investigation. During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect took Neece’s vehicle from the scene and traveled into Florida. Special Agents issued a law enforcement bulletin for the suspect and the missing vehicle. Deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in Florida observed the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Frazer refused to stop, and a short pursuit ensued. Eventually, Frazer was taken into custody by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and deputies recovered the vehicle.
Frazer was booked into the Marion County Jail in Florida and is currently pending extradition back to Alabama for the murder of Neece.
